# Best Law Firm Website Companies in Ontario (2026): An Honest Comparison

## Key facts

| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| Studios checked | 5 that Ontario law firms commonly shortlist, plus UXPro |
| Method | Direct fetch of each home page, /llms.txt and pricing page on 15 Oct 2026; no survey, nobody paid for inclusion |
| Publish a build price | 4 of the 5; starting prices from about $3,000 (LawOnline.ca) to $25,000 (Parachute). Ours: from $1,500 CAD plus HST |
| Serve a real llms.txt | 4 of the 5 (not Azuro Digital), a fact about each site, not a quality score |
| Home page HTML | From 68 KB (LawOnline.ca) to 493 KB (Azuro Digital) |

**There is no single best law firm website company in Ontario; the right one depends on your firm's size, your budget and how well the studio knows the Law Society's marketing rules. On 15 October 2026, four of the five studios Ontario firms commonly shortlist published a build price, from about $3,000 (LawOnline.ca) to $25,000 (Parachute Design Group).** Ours are published too: from $1,500, $3,500 or $7,500 CAD per project, plus HST. We checked each studio, and our own, on things you can verify in a browser without a sales call: whether a build price is published, what structured data the home page carries, whether /llms.txt serves a real file, and how heavy the home page is.

## How did we pick and check the studios?

These are studios that came up repeatedly when we looked at who Ontario law firms consider. Parachute Design Group and Brand Vision are Toronto studios that list law firms among their industries. dNovo Group is a Toronto marketing agency that describes itself as focused on legal, medical and professional services. Azuro Digital has offices in Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary, lists legal among its industries and puts AI search in its home page headline. LawOnline.ca works only for law firms, Canada-wide, from Cambridge, Ontario.

**Method.** Public facts fetched on 15 October 2026; nobody paid for inclusion, and nobody asked to be included. For each studio we fetched the home page directly and recorded:

1. The size of the home page HTML, uncompressed, excluding images and scripts (1 KB = 1,024 bytes).
2. Whether `/llms.txt` returns a real text file rather than a 404 or a disguised web page.
3. The schema.org types in the home page's JSON-LD.
4. Whether a website build price is published on the home page or an obvious pricing page.

Anyone can repeat these checks with a browser's "view source". We are one of the six, so our row gets the same columns, including where we come out worse.

## What did we find?

| Studio | Home page HTML | `/llms.txt` | Published build price (as of 15 Oct 2026) | Structured data on the home page (selection) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Azuro Digital (Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary) | 493 KB | No (404) | Yes, on /pricing: web design and development from $10,000 | `Organization`, `WebSite`, `FAQPage` |
| Brand Vision (Toronto) | 330 KB | Yes | Yes: websites from $7,000 to above $50,000 | `ProfessionalService`, `LocalBusiness`, `Service`, `Offer`, `OfferCatalog` |
| dNovo Group (Toronto) | 415 KB | Yes | No build price; marketing services from $4,000 a month | `LocalBusiness`, `Service`, `Offer`, `Review`, `AggregateRating` |
| LawOnline.ca (Cambridge, Ontario; legal only) | 68 KB | Yes | Yes: from around $3,000 for an entry-level templated site to $15,000 or more; most $5,000–$15,000 plus HST | `ProfessionalService`, `FAQPage` |
| Parachute Design Group (Toronto) | 152 KB | Yes | Yes: from $25,000 for a microsite; most $35,000–$60,000 (CAD) | `ProfessionalService`, `LocalBusiness`, `Service`, `Offer`, `OfferCatalog`, `FAQPage` |
| UXPro (Kitchener; this studio) | Not yet measured (see below) | Yes | Yes: from $1,500, $3,500 or $7,500 CAD per project, plus HST | `ProfessionalService`, `Service`, `Offer`, `OfferCatalog` |

Four of the five publish a build price and four of the five serve an `llms.txt`. Our row is read from the rebuilt site's own code, because that site was not live on 15 October 2026. The uxpro.ca it replaces served 809 KB of home page HTML and no `llms.txt` that day, which would have been the heaviest page in this table.

## How should you read those columns?

**Published price is the most useful column for a buyer.** It lets you rule a studio in or out before a call. The spread is wide, from LawOnline.ca's "around $3,000" to Parachute's $25,000 floor, and it tracks the size of firm each studio is built for.

**`llms.txt` and structured data are facts about how a studio runs its own site, not quality scores.** Google's guidance on [AI features](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/ai-features) says you don't need "AI text files" or special schema to appear in them (see [Do I need an llms.txt file?](/blog/do-i-need-llms-txt)). What the columns do tell you is whether a studio that sells AI search or schema does it on its own site. Azuro puts AI search in its headline and serves no `llms.txt`; that is worth a direct question, not a verdict.

**Page weight is HTML only**, a rough signal of how much a page builder or theme adds. It says little about the quality of the client work.

## What is each studio good at, and where do we come out worse?

**Parachute Design Group** publishes real numbers in Canadian dollars and carries the fullest structured data of the group. Its prices start at $25,000, which places it with mid-size and larger firms.

**Azuro Digital** publishes a starting price on its pricing page and puts AI search in its home page headline. Its home page is the heaviest we measured and serves no `llms.txt`.

**Brand Vision** publishes price bands for websites and has a law-firm industry page. A $7,000 floor will read as a stretch for a two-lawyer practice.

**LawOnline.ca** is legal-only, publishes its pricing with HST stated, and has the lightest home page we measured, by a distance. It is also based in Waterloo Region, as we are. For a firm that wants a vendor who only does legal work, it is the closest peer.

**dNovo Group** carries `Review` and `AggregateRating` markup most sites skip, and publishes a monthly marketing price rather than a build price.

**Us.** We publish our build and care-plan prices, and our code carries the same `Service` and `Offer` markup as the strongest here. **Where we come out worse:** LawOnline.ca and Parachute have lighter home pages than the site we are replacing, and we cannot yet show a measured number for the new one. Several of these studios show more law-firm work than we do. We have one launched law-firm build, [Tokas Lex Law Office](/work/tokas-lex-law-office): seven practice areas across two offices. And we are not legal-only: the UXPro team designs websites, products and apps, brand identities and pitch decks, and supports SEO, AI search and marketing for small businesses, practices and startups. Whether that breadth is a plus or a distraction for your firm is your call.

## Which three questions test a studio's LSO knowledge?

Price and markup are proxies. These three questions, drawn from Chapter 4 of the [Law Society of Ontario's Rules of Professional Conduct](https://lso.ca/about-lso/legislation-rules/rules-of-professional-conduct/chapter-4), tell you whether a studio understands the rules your website is held to. Ask them of anyone on this list, including us:

1. **"What can our results page say about past cases?"** A good answer: commentary [2] to rule 4.2-1 lists stating an amount recovered or a degree of success in past cases as marketing that may contravene the rule, unless it comes with a statement that past results are not necessarily indicative of future results and that outcomes vary with the facts of each case.
2. **"Can we call ourselves specialists, or experts?"** A good answer: rule 4.3-1 allows "specialist" only if the Law Society has certified you in that field, and its commentary says a lawyer who is not a Certified Specialist may not use any designation from which a person might reasonably conclude they are one. "Expert" does not appear in Chapter 4, but under that commentary it is risky for the same reason.
3. **"Can we publish testimonials and our fees?"** A good answer: testimonials are not banned, but commentary [2] lists testimonials or endorsements that contain emotional appeals as marketing that may contravene rule 4.2-1, and all marketing must be demonstrably true, accurate and verifiable. Advertised fees must be reasonably precise about the services, say whether disbursements, third-party charges and taxes are extra, and be strictly honoured in every applicable case (rule 4.2-2).

A good studio will also mention rule 4.2-1.1, which requires lawyers' marketing to identify that they are licensed as lawyers. One more point the commentary makes: the Law Society treats superlatives such as "best" and "#1" in a lawyer's marketing as rankings that must be bona fide. Our title uses "best" because it is what buyers search for; the table is the answer.

Our companion guide, [LSO marketing rules and your website](/blog/lso-marketing-rules-website), sets out each rule, and [what a website costs in Ontario](/blog/website-cost-ontario) covers the wider price bands this table sits inside. ## FAQ

### What are the best law firm website companies in Ontario?

It depends on the size of your firm and your budget. On 15 October 2026, published starting prices ran from about $3,000 (LawOnline.ca) to $25,000 (Parachute Design Group); ours start at $1,500 CAD plus HST. Shortlist on price and fit, then ask each studio the three LSO questions in this guide.

### Is the cheapest law firm website studio the right choice?

Not on price alone. Ask whether the studio can explain the Law Society of Ontario's marketing rules, whether it gives a fixed quote against your practice areas, and whether you will own the finished code, domain and hosting.

### Does llms.txt or schema make a law firm studio better?

No. Google says its AI features need neither an AI text file nor special schema. Whether a studio has them on its own site tells you whether it practises what it sells, not how good its client work is.

### Should an Ontario law firm hire a studio that only does legal work?

A legal-only studio such as LawOnline.ca knows the rules from repetition, which is a real advantage. A broader studio can bring product, brand and marketing work as well. Either way, test the studio with the three LSO questions rather than taking legal-only as proof.
