# Pitch deck design

Reviewed 17 October 2026. Canonical page: https://uxpro.ca/services/pitch-deck-design

We tighten the order of your argument, then design twelve to eighteen slides with charts rebuilt from your own numbers, in an editable file you keep.

**From $1,800 CAD, plus HST.** Quoted after a 30-minute call for work outside a package

## At a glance

- **Who it is for:** Founders preparing for an investor meeting who have the numbers and claims, and need them to read in seconds.
- **What you get:** A narrative pass, 12 to 18 designed slides, rebuilt charts, an appendix and one revision round.
- **Turnaround:** Quoted against your meeting date

## The deck work we can show.

Client decks sit under NDA. What we can show is the studio's own practice, labelled, and the shape of the work behind the NDA.

- **Funded** (Ongoing practice, Startups and founders): Four fictional startups, five slides each: how story structure and visual direction change with the business being explained. [Case study](https://uxpro.ca/work/funded)
- **FinTech** (client work under NDA; no name, screenshot or figure): An investor deck and the onboarding flows behind it, so the pitch and the product tell one story. Stage: early-stage.

Every project is labelled before you see it: client, client work anonymised, studio concept or practice.

## What a deck project includes.

One argument per slide, numbers that read in five seconds, and an editable file you keep. We fix the order of your story first, then make it look like money.

1. A narrative pass first: We reorder the argument before designing anything. Sequence fixes more than styling does.
2. 12 to 18 designed slides: One point per slide, a headline that states it, and the evidence underneath.
3. Charts rebuilt from your numbers: Drawn to be read in five seconds, with the source and the date on the slide.
4. An editable source file: Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides, with the styles set up so your edits hold.
5. A short appendix: The detail slides you skip in the room and send afterwards.
6. One revision round: After you have shown it to somebody. Notes from a real room beat notes from a review call.

You probably need this if:

- Your deck is forty slides and nobody reaches the end. Usually three arguments per slide and no headline saying which one matters.
- The numbers are good and the charts hide them. Default spreadsheet charts with a legend nobody reads.
- You cannot edit the file your last designer sent. Flattened images, or a tool nobody on your team has.

## The order first, then the look.

The order first, then the look. The turnaround is quoted against your meeting date before we start.

1. **Start from the meeting.** *Before the quote.* A call about the round, the meeting date, your current deck and where your numbers come from. You receive: A written quote and a turnaround against your date.
2. **Fix the argument.** *First.* We reorder the story and rewrite headlines so each slide makes one point. We do not invent traction or market size. You approve: The slide order and every headline.
3. **Design the slides.** *Then.* Twelve to eighteen slides, with charts rebuilt from your numbers so they read in five seconds, plus a short appendix. You review: The designed deck, with one revision round.
4. **Keep the source.** *At handover.* Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides, with master styles set up so a new slide comes out matching. You keep: The editable file and the fonts sorted.

## Quoted against your meeting date.

Two packages with published prices: Standard designs the story you have, Investor rebuilds it with you. The turnaround is agreed against your meeting date.

### Standard deck

**$1,800 CAD per deck, plus HST.** Founders whose story is settled and whose slides need to read in seconds.

Included:

- A pass on the order of your slides and their headlines
- Twelve to eighteen designed slides
- Charts rebuilt from your own numbers
- One revision round
- An editable file with master styles: Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides

- An appendix with the detail investors ask for
- A version to send ahead of the meeting, separate from the one you present

Not included:

Turnaround: Quoted against your meeting date

| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| Slides | 12 to 18, plus an appendix |
| Turnaround | Quoted against your meeting date |
| Revision rounds | 1 included |
| File you keep | Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides |
| What we need | Your numbers, claims and current deck |
| Rush turnaround | Possible, priced separately |
| Price | Standard deck, $1,800 CAD per deck, plus HST; Investor deck, $3,500 CAD per deck, plus HST |
| Not included | Financial modelling and fundraising advice |
| What moves the quote | Slide count, and how much of the appendix you want designed. Whether the narrative is settled or needs rebuilding. How many charts have to be drawn from raw numbers. Rush turnaround, if the meeting is this week. |
| Quoted separately, or not ours | Financial modelling and forecasting. Fundraising advice or investor introductions. Writing claims we cannot source from your own data. Video, animation and voiceover. |
| Terms | Canadian dollars, plus HST. One project, one fixed quote, agreed before any work starts. |

## Where we are not the right fit

- You need financial modelling, fundraising advice or investor introductions.
- You want us to fill a slide with a figure you have not modelled. We make your numbers land; we do not invent them.

## Founders ask these before the call.

### How fast can you turn a deck around?

We quote it against your meeting date before we start, and faster work is priced separately. What slows a deck down is an unsettled story, not the design, so the narrative pass comes first.

### Can I edit the deck afterwards?

Yes. You get the source file in Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides, with master styles set up so a new slide comes out matching. Fonts are embedded or swapped for ones your team already has.

### Will you write the deck for me?

We rewrite headlines and tighten what is there, and we reorder the argument. We do not invent traction, market size or a projection you have not modelled. Bring the numbers and the claims; we make them land.

### How much does pitch deck design cost?

Standard deck: $1,800 CAD per deck, plus HST. Investor deck: $3,500 CAD per deck, plus HST. Standard covers the order pass, the slides, the charts and one revision round; Investor adds the rebuilt story, an appendix and a send-ahead version. Slide count and how settled your story is are what move it, and a rush turnaround is priced separately.

### What should I bring to the first call?

Your current deck, your numbers and where they come from, the round you are raising and the meeting date. Feedback you have already had from investors helps most, because it shows which slide is losing the room.

### Do you sign an NDA?

Yes. Most of our startup work is under NDA, which is why the examples on this page are studio concepts and anonymised descriptions rather than client decks.

### Do you help with fundraising or introductions?

No. Financial modelling, fundraising advice and investor introductions are outside a deck project. We make the argument you bring read clearly; we do not broker the meeting.
