# SEO and content

Reviewed 17 October 2026. Canonical page: https://uxpro.ca/services/seo-content

We make your pages readable to search engines and write the guides your clients are searching for, every month, from an outline you approve.

**From $650 CAD a month, plus HST.** On the Growth care plan. A one-off technical pass is quoted on its own, in writing.

## At a glance

- **Who it is for:** Ontario small businesses and practices whose clients search before they call.
- **What you get:** A technical pass, page structure, one or two articles a month, structured data, internal links and a report you can read.
- **First results:** We will not put a date on it

## Content we have written, and our own.

A client build where the guides are part of the site, and the Journal this site publishes under the same rules.

- **Tokas Lex Law Office** (Client project, Law): Thirteen guides beside seven practice pages, with an editor the firm runs itself. The firm has not shared search numbers, so none are shown. [Case study](https://uxpro.ca/work/tokas-lex-law-office)
- **The UXPro Journal** (Our own site): Our own guides: an answer in the first paragraph, sources listed, and a review date on every one. [Read the Journal](https://uxpro.ca/blog)

Every project is labelled before you see it: client, client work anonymised, studio concept or practice.

## Six things on every SEO plan.

SEO here means two things: pages built so a search engine can read them, and content written for the questions your clients actually type. No link schemes, no 400-word filler.

1. A technical pass first: Crawlability, page titles, internal links, redirects, speed and the things quietly holding the site back.
2. Page structure that answers something: One question per page, stated as the heading, answered in the first paragraph.
3. Plain-language guides: One or two a month, written for owners rather than for other designers.
4. FAQ blocks and structured data: Marked up only where the answer is visible on the page.
5. Internal linking that means something: Guides point at the service page they support, and the service page points back.
6. Reporting you can read: Impressions, clicks, position and enquiries, quarterly or monthly, with what we changed.

You probably need this if:

- You rank for your own name and nothing else. People who already know you can find you. Nobody else can.
- Your service pages are three sentences long. There is nothing on them for a search engine to match, or for a visitor to read.
- Someone sold you 400-word blog posts. They answered nothing, so they earned nothing. Volume is not the job.

## What the monthly work covers, and what it refuses.

A technical pass first, then a monthly rhythm. Nothing publishes until you sign it off.

1. **Read the site.** *Before the plan.* A Redline or a technical read of what you have: what search engines can see, and which client questions have no page. You receive: Written findings, and a quote for a one-off pass if you need one.
2. **Fix the structure.** *First.* Titles, headings, structured data, internal links and the pages that should exist but do not. You approve: The fixes, listed before they ship.
3. **Write what clients ask.** *Every month.* An outline you approve, a draft from us, your facts checked, then published with its FAQ and links. You approve: One article a month on Growth, two on Authority.
4. **Report plainly.** *Every quarter.* Impressions, clicks and position, what changed and what we will do next. Monthly with a call on Authority. You receive: A report in plain language.

## Priced as a plan, not per article.

That is the Growth care plan, which is where the monthly SEO and content work lives. Authority is $1,200 a month. A one-off technical and structure pass is quoted separately, before we start.

Care plans:

- **Essentials**: $250 CAD a month, plus HST. Someone is watching the site you already paid for.
- **Growth**: $650 CAD a month, plus HST. Everything in Essentials, plus content that earns new searches.
- **Authority**: $1,200 CAD a month, plus HST. Everything in Growth, plus the pages and the monthly call.

| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| Price floor | From $650 CAD a month, plus HST |
| Included at the floor | 1 article, schema tuning, profile upkeep |
| Included at Authority | 2 articles, monthly report and a call |
| First results | We will not put a date on it |
| Reporting | Quarterly, or monthly with a call |
| Commitment | Month-to-month. Cancel any time. No annual pricing exists. |
| Not included | Ad spend and link buying |
| What moves the quote | How many articles a month: one on Growth, two on Authority. How many service and location pages need rewriting first. Whether the site needs a technical pass before content will do anything. How many towns or practice areas you want to be found in. |
| Quoted separately, or not ours | Ad spend and ad management. Link buying, guest-post networks and directory bulk submissions. Ranking guarantees. Nobody can sell you one honestly. Photography and video production. |
| Terms | Month-to-month. Cancel any time. No annual pricing exists. |

## Where we are not the right fit

- You need enquiries this month. Search work builds over months, and we will not put a date on it.
- You want a guaranteed ranking or bought links. We do neither.
- You need ads run. Ad spend and ad management are not part of the plans.

## What owners ask about SEO.

### How long before SEO work shows up?

We will not put a date on it, because the honest answer depends on your market and on what is already on your site. Technical fixes can land sooner than content does. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either buying links or counting a search nobody runs.

### Do I have to be on a care plan to get SEO work?

No. The monthly rhythm lives inside the Growth and Authority plans because that is the cheapest way to buy it. A one-off technical and page-structure pass can be quoted on its own, and plenty of clients start there.

### Who writes the articles?

We do, from an outline you approve. You supply the facts, the numbers and the sector detail; we write the draft and you sign it off before it goes live. Your name goes on it, not ours.

### Will you guarantee a ranking?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We can guarantee the work: the pass runs, the articles publish, the schema validates, and the report shows impressions, clicks and position. Google decides the rest, and it changes its mind regularly.

### What does SEO and content cost?

From $650 CAD a month, plus HST, on the Growth care plan: one article a month, structured-data tuning, Google Business Profile upkeep and quarterly reporting. Authority is $1,200 CAD a month, plus HST, for two articles and monthly reporting with a call. Month-to-month. Cancel any time. No annual pricing exists. A one-off technical pass is quoted on its own, in writing, before we start.

### What do you need from us to start?

Access to Google Search Console and your analytics, or permission to set them up; the questions your clients ask most often; and one person who can check the facts in a draft. We write from an outline you approve, and nothing publishes until you sign it off.

### Do you work with businesses outside Kitchener-Waterloo?

Yes. We are based in Kitchener, Ontario, and content work runs on calls, email and shared documents, so it does not depend on where you are. Local search is different: it only works in the places you actually serve customers.

### Is SEO the right fit if we need enquiries this month?

Probably not on its own. Search work builds over months and we will not put a date on results. If you need enquiries soon, fixing the pages people already land on usually moves faster, and paid ads (which we do not run) faster still. A Redline tells you which applies to your site.
