# Make your website make sense.

Reviewed 17 October 2026. Canonical page: https://uxpro.ca/services/website-design-build

We design, write and build websites that make your business clear, guide enquiries and are easy to update. One project, from first brief to launch.

From $1,500 CAD + HST · Fixed quote before we begin

## Different businesses. Different websites.

The look should feel like you. The experience should make sense to the people you want to reach.

- **[Orient Barber Shop](https://uxpro.ca/work/orient-barber-shop)** (Client website · Mobile site mockup): From finding the shop to booking a chair. The booking and map actions sit together at the top, so someone on a phone can choose their next step immediately.
- **[Tokas Lex Law Office](https://uxpro.ca/work/tokas-lex-law-office)** (Client website · Service pages & content): A complex practice, clearly explained. Dedicated practice pages give each legal service its own space, with a direct path to a consultation.

## A clear story. A useful site. Yours to keep.

Design and development belong together. So do the words, the everyday details and the handover.

1. **Words with a purpose.** A sitemap and copy shaped around what your customers need to know, with a clear next step on every page. Page structure · Service copy · Calls to action.
2. **Design for real life.** Your business, expressed through a considered visual system that works on a phone as well as a big screen. Custom layouts · Mobile design · Reusable components.
3. **A site you can run.** A working build, an editor for everyday updates, tested enquiry forms and the files you need to take it forward. Content editor · Form setup · Code and handover.

What’s included behind the scenes:

- **The foundations:** Next.js and Vercel, with a content editor for your team. Page titles, structured data and redirects are part of the build. The accessibility checks each journey must pass are listed in your quote. [Our launch checklist](https://uxpro.ca/studio/acceptance)
- **Ownership:** Your code stays in your repository. You own it.
- **After launch:** Keep the site in-house or choose an optional care plan. [Care plans](https://uxpro.ca/care-plans)

## You see the work. Before it goes live.

A clear sequence, with room for your feedback at every stage. The timeline is agreed around your scope, content and approvals.

1. **Agree the direction.** We learn what your business needs the site to do, map the pages and agree the scope, price and timeline. You receive: A sitemap, copy brief and fixed quote.
2. **See it take shape.** We work through the copy and design, then build the actual pages. You try the staging site on your own devices and share feedback. You review: Real screens and a working preview.
3. **Launch with a plan.** We check forms, mobile layouts and redirects, connect the domain and hand over the site with its launch report. You keep: The site, the code and a clear handover.

## Start with the site you need.

A landing page, a business website or a larger build. We agree the exact scope and a fixed quote before work begins.

| Tier | Price | Pages | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | From $1,500 CAD per project, plus HST | One landing page, built around a single conversion | Typically two to three weeks |
| Growth | From $3,500 CAD per project, plus HST | A custom site of five to ten pages | Typically four to six weeks |
| Premium | From $7,500 CAD per project, plus HST | A full custom build of fifteen to thirty pages | Typically eight to twelve weeks |

Canadian dollars, plus HST. One project, one fixed quote, agreed before any work starts. Two instalments: 50% to start, 50% at launch. [Compare the full scopes](https://uxpro.ca/pricing)

We scope these with you:

- Which tier: one landing page, five to ten pages, or a full build of fifteen to thirty.
- Service pages, guides and location pages on top of the core set.
- E-commerce or booking: products, payments or a booking tool wired in.
- How much content exists already, and how much we write with you.
- Photography, illustration or a brand refresh bundled in.
- Integrations: a booking tool, a CRM, a client portal or a second language.

Quoted separately:

- Ad spend and ad management.
- Third-party subscriptions such as a booking tool or an email platform.
- Stock photography licences.
- Ongoing content and upkeep, which is what a care plan covers.

## Good questions. Straight answers.

Keeping your domain, updating your pages, owning your code. Here’s how it works.

### How long does a website build take?

Typically two to three weeks for one landing page, typically four to six weeks for five to ten pages, and typically eight to twelve weeks for a full build. The quote states the timeline before anything starts. What moves it most is how fast your content, photos and approvals come back to us, so we agree those dates in week one.

### Do I own the code when it is finished?

Yes. The code sits in your repository and the site runs in your own Vercel project. You own the domain throughout. If you leave, you take both, and we help you move without holding anything back.

### Can I keep my domain and my email?

Yes. The domain stays yours and we point it at the new site. Business email is separate from the website, so Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace keeps running untouched. We check your mail records before the domain moves, not after.

### What if I already have a site I do not want to lose?

We map every old URL to a new one and redirect it, so search engines can carry over what they already know about your pages. Some movement after a launch is normal, and nobody can promise none. Content worth keeping gets rewritten rather than thrown out. We record your traffic before launch so we can compare it after.

### What happens if I want to leave later?

You take the repository and the Vercel project, and we help you move to whoever comes next. Care plans have no minimum term, so there is nothing to wait out, and there is no charge to hand over what is already yours. On Premium, the support period after launch is included in the build, not a term you are held to.

### What do you need before you can price a build?

We need the page count and the job each page has to do, what content and photography already exist, and any booking, payment or other systems the site must connect to. That sets the tier and any work beyond it. We put the full scope, price and timeline in writing before work starts.
