Old addresses: 74 of 74 old addresses resolve in one hop

Every redirect the site serves was requested against the live site: 74 rules, 74 passes, 0 failures. Each answered with the status its rule declares (73 permanent 308s and one deliberately temporary 307, from /studio to /about), pointed at the declared destination, and that destination answered 200 with no further hop. Rules that cover a page and its Markdown copy were tested on the copy. Seven of the 74 are client-restricted or retired addresses and are counted but not listed by name. The old blog addresses have still not been checked against Search Console for links worth keeping.

Target, not a result: Every old address resolving

The whole auditRaw observations, 19 October 2026 (JSON)

Method

Each old URL requested on the live production site (not a preview deployment), recording the status, the Location header and the status of the destination

Limits of this reading

  • Tests the redirects the site declares; an old address nobody declared is not on the list and so not tested.
  • Search Console's record of which old URLs earn links was not consulted on this date.
  • A reading of the live uxpro.ca on this date, under its production configuration; a later deployment can differ.
  • A pass holds for this date and this build only; the point is re-checked on every update.
