What “done” means, in writing.

Before a build starts we agree what it has to do, where, and how we will check it. At launch we run those checks with you. After launch we fix what the checks should have caught.

The five terms

Every build is accepted against these five terms. Where a term points to your quote, the exact list or figure is written into it, and the quote is what counts.

  1. 1. Agreed journeys

We name the three to six things a visitor must be able to finish: book a consult, find the right office, send an enquiry, read a fee. Each one is written as steps, start to finish, with the page it ends on.

  2. 2. Agreed browsers and devices

The browsers and devices are listed by name in your quote.

Anything outside the list is still worked on, but it is not part of acceptance.

  3. 3. Accessibility checks

The accessibility checks each journey must pass are listed in your quote.

Automated tools run first. They are not the test: a person runs each journey by keyboard and with a screen reader.

  4. 4. Performance budgets

Performance budgets are agreed in writing, per journey, before the build starts.

Measured on the live address, not a preview, and the report reaches you with the dates and the tool versions.

  5. 5. Defect repair after launch

The repair window for launch defects is written into your quote.

A defect is something an agreed journey cannot do on an agreed browser. We need the steps to reproduce it; a screenshot and the device name are enough.

What it does not promise

  • Rankings, traffic or AI citations

Search engines and assistants decide those. We build the site so nothing on it stands in the way.

  • Legal compliance

We build to WCAG and flag regulatory risks with the rule cited. Whether your organisation complies is a question for your counsel.

  • A score forever

Budgets are measured at launch. Third-party scripts, new content and browser updates change a page after that; a care plan watches for it.

  • Changes of scope

A new journey, page or integration after sign-off is quoted on its own. It is not a defect.
