The terms, in plain sentences.

What this website is, what you own when a project ends, how payment works, and what we will not promise.

What this site is

This site describes what UXPro Design Studio does and what it charges. Prices shown are in Canadian dollars and exclude tax.

A price on this site is an invitation to talk, not a binding offer. The number that binds either of us is the fixed quote we send you in writing.

Who owns the work

When a project is paid for, you own it. That means the design, the content we wrote for you, the code in your repository and the domain.

Your code stays in your repository and your hosting project stays in your name, from the first day rather than the last. If you leave, you take both, and we will help you move.

  • You own: the finished site, the source code, the content, your domain and your hosting account.
  • We keep: the right to show the work in our portfolio and case studies, or to show it anonymised if you prefer, unless you ask us not to show it at all.
  • Third parties keep: any licensed font, stock asset or paid tool, under its own licence. We tell you which ones before we use them.

Payment

  • Project work: half on acceptance of the quote, half on launch. Invoices are due in 15 days.
  • Care plans: monthly, in advance, by email invoice or pre-authorised payment.
  • Late invoices: we ask twice before we stop work, and we never take a site offline over money.
  • Care plans are month to month and can be cancelled any time, by email. There is no contract to end.

What we do not guarantee

Nobody controls a search result or an AI answer, and anyone who promises one is selling something else. We can make your site the easiest thing for a search engine or an assistant to read and cite, and we publish how we measure it.

We do stand behind the things we control: the scope in the quote, and the acceptance terms written into it.

Confidentiality

We sign your NDA, or ours, before we see private material. Work under an NDA is never shown with your name, your brand or your figures; if we show it at all, it is anonymised and labelled that way.

Defects after launch

What counts as done, and how a defect found after launch is repaired, is set out in our acceptance contract at /studio/acceptance and written into your quote.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools in parts of our work, under the policy published at /studio/how-we-use-ai. Your confidential material stays out of any AI tool you have not approved in writing.

Changes and cancellation

A change to an agreed scope is quoted before it is built, never after. If you cancel a project partway, you pay for the work done to that point and you keep it.

Liability

We are liable for our own work, up to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for a third-party service failing, for content you supply, or for a business loss caused by something outside the site.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of Ontario and of Canada. Any dispute is heard in Ontario.

If anything on this page is unclear, ask and we will rewrite it. A policy nobody can follow is not a policy.
